My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans had its highs and lows. I really appreciated the hotel's beautiful design and excellent room service, but the challenges with the front desk and issues with the air conditioning were frustrating. The location was perfect for exploring the city, though some aspects of service could use improvement.

The room I eventually received was spacious and well-decorated, but I struggled with the air conditioning issues that required me to switch rooms.

While the repair staff were friendly, I found the front desk's response to my concerns less than satisfactory, especially the attitude of one receptionist.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans was quite the experience. While I loved the beauty of the hotel and the warm service from most staff, I faced some hiccups with room issues and a less-than-stellar front desk interaction. The Club Lounge was fabulous with great food and the jazz was a good touch. However, the AC problems were definitely a downside.
Rooms
6.0
I enjoyed the lovely room, but I had a big issue with the AC, which had to be fixed not once, but twice. I appreciated the effort to relocate me, but the new room was smaller and a bit smelly.
Service
6.0
Service varied; some staff were really good, but the front desk was lacking. I encountered a rude receptionist who didn't help my situation regarding room choices, which was frustrating.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is prime for exploring all the excitement New Orleans has to offer, but the area does have some concerning elements outside, especially at night.
Dining
8.0
I had a fantastic experience in the Club Lounge; the food was delicious and plentiful. Room service also impressed me with its quality. However, I did have a rough time with breakfast that made me feel sick.
Facilities

The hotel’s amenities, especially the live jazz and comfortable lounges, really enhanced my stay. I also enjoyed the peaceful indoor pool area. However, needing to navigate multiple elevators to get around was a bit annoying.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans was a mixed bag. On one hand, the location was super convenient for exploring the French Quarter, and my room was spacious and beautifully designed. However, I ran into several hiccups with service and hotel amenities that left me feeling disappointed overall.
Rooms

The room was huge and had a lovely view of the courtyard, although the hotel did need some minor touch-ups. It felt more worn down compared to what I’d expect from a Ritz.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss. While some staff members were friendly and helpful, I often felt like I was an afterthought. Issues like housekeeping leaving the job halfway done were frustrating.
Location
7.0
The location is great, just a hop away from the lively bar and restaurant scene in the French Quarter. But I did feel that the area felt a bit sketchy at times compared to other places in New Orleans.
Dining
6.0
Dining was decent, but a tad overpriced at times. I enjoyed the room service experience, but the brunch at M-Bistro didn't quite meet my expectations.
Facilities
5.0
Amenities were a letdown. The pool was smaller than I hoped for, and house-cleaning services could've been more attentive. It's not what I imagined a luxury hotel should offer.
